Numerous celebrities have worn Vivienne Westwood’s designs on the red carpet throughout the years because of how exceptional her corsetry is. It’s no wonder that Blackpink‘s Lalisa Manoban, alias Lisa, likes Vivienne Westwood’s creations considering her flair for statement-making fashion.
It’s also worth noting that most times red carpets don’t always revolve around the fashion -they might be all about the jewellry or accessories at times. For example, when Florence Pugh showed up for the London Film’s Festival, her stylist purposedly added an eccentric accessory – a handbag in the shape of a birdcage.
The Bulgari Aurora Awards, which were hosted in Seoul, South Korea, on Tuesday night, are a prime example of a high jewelry event where such is unquestionably the case. Blackpink’s Lisa, who walked the red carpet and subsequently presented at the event, sought out a dress that properly displayed the necklace that was the actual star of the show.
The singer wore a white stretch satin dress from Vivienne Westwood’s 2022 bridal collection to the awards ceremony. The outfit had a corseted bodice and a floor-sweeping skirt that gathered at the waist. Lisa was sartorially astute, eschewing any accoutrements that may be construed as wedding in favor of a pair of Amina Muaddi’s black platform heels and black nails. The combination was elegantly completed with a Serpenti necklace and bracelet from Bulgari, with the top’s neckline serving as the ideal framing for the diamond snake crawling down her chest.
Since Lisa has lately been playing with Blackpink for the Born Pink global tour, the awards event was a nice diversion from her hectic schedule. The K-pop trio has so far performed in Seoul before traveling to other cities in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Given that each member has at least one deal with a premium fashion brand, there will probably be some really stylish onstage moments during those performances. In fact, a very similar, if not the identical, Serpenti necklace Lisa wore to the awards was featured in their latest music video for “Pink Venom,” which could have easily doubled as a promotion for a number of brands.
