Ideally mothers, should be celebrated everyday buy we can settle for two (which is held on different dates based on the country)

The Princess of Wales shared two adorable photos of herself and her kids having fun in the outdoors in observance of the U.K.’s traditional “Mothering Sunday,” which comes on March 19 this year. Photographer Matt Porteous took the first picture, which has Kate sitting in a tree on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The four are smile adorably at the camera and are surrounded by lush vegetation.

They adopt a casual look, with George and Louis sporting shorts and a collared shirt, Middleton sporting pants and white sneakers. While Charlotte is charming as always in a romper.

Kate carries Louis, her youngest child, in her arms as they pose for the second photograph. The photograph appears to have been shot on the same day as the family’s traditional Christmas card, which was shared on all socials last December.

King Charles also commemorated the occasion by sharing a photo of himself as a newborn with Queen Elizabeth, who passed away the previous year. “To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special,” he wrote.

While it’s lovely to see the royals dressing similarly to us (in denim and shorts), they have made an effort to share photos in casual settings and attire while commemorating family anniversaries. Notwithstanding this, on Friday, Prince William and Princess Catherine observed another festival by marching with the Irish Guards in Aldershot, England’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade while wearing a customary attire.

Kate wore a teal coat dress by Catherine Walker & Co, paired with Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Jane Taylor London fascinator with a dramatic pleated chiffon embellishment. Paying homage to Ireland, her accessories included adiamond drop earrings with green stones, a fresh green leaf-and-clover arrangement worn as a brooch, and a gold Cartier shamrock brooch.
