Get to know North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s four kids.
After years of friendship, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West initially began dating in 2011. Over the course of their 10-year marriage, West and Kardashian welcomed four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. They swiftly rose to the status of power couple.
West and Kardashian have always put their kids first, despite the difficulties they have endured in their relationship and as prominent parents.
Explaining during an episode of The Kardashians on Hulu Kim said: “No matter what we’re going through, I always want my kids to be around their dad as much as possible and just have their mornings with Dad and get dropped off at school.”
According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE five months after West and Kardashian announced their divorce, West had a similar viewpoint. ”He wants the best for his kids,” the insider explained. “He is keeping things amicable with Kim so the kids can be happy.”
Despite the fact that Kardashian and West may no longer be a couple, it is obvious that they still take their responsibilities as co-parents extremely seriously. No matter what you’re going through personally, be sure to be your co-strongest parent’s supporter, Kardashian told Vogue in February 2022.
Here is all you need to know about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s children, from the birth of their four children to their precious family moments.
North West, 9
The first child of Kardashian and West, North West, was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 15, 2013. Grandmother Kris Jenner claims that her odd name has a nice meaning.
North is widely known for her outspoken nature, which her parents have supported since she was a little child. “I’m interested in hearing my daughter’s perspective. what she discovers. I’m really curious about how she learns in this environment “Added West in 2016. “I’m a fierce protector.”
And North isn’t afraid to express her ideas, even when she goes to Paris Fashion Week as her mother’s guest. She waved a scribbled “Stop” sign in the direction of the photographers who were taking her picture during the performance in July 2022. Kardashian posted on Instagram, “North, I think got tired of everyone snapping photographs of her, so she wrote STOP on her invitation and held it up and wanted everybody to just concentrate on the event.
Saint West, 6
Saint West, the second child of West and Kardashian, was born on December 5, 2015, in Los Angeles. West is credited with coming up with Saint’s unusual name. According to reports, the rapper was “going back and forth for a while” before landing on Saint because he wanted the name to have “spiritual significance.”
Saint is a little version of West, and he has the same vivacious personality as his elder sister. Saint received a reprimand from Kardashian in June 2022 for calling people “weirdos” while on Instagram Live with his mother. The following month, Saint and his younger brother Psalm went with Kardashian to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where they amusingly interrupted the interview while sitting in the audience.
Saint and his parents have a close relationship despite his occasional mischief. In a message for his sixth birthday, Kardashian previously referred to him as her “bestie with the best snuggles.” The mother-son team also participated in a cute spontaneous picture session in September 2021 when they coordinated in identical black outfits a la The Matrix.
In March 2022, he went to a Golden State Warriors NBA game with West, demonstrating his burgeoning interest in sports. Even one of the league’s top quarterbacks, Tom Brady, taught Saint a thing or two about the game of football. In November 2021, West shared a video of Saint and Brady jousting with a football in a luxury at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium.
Chicago West, 4
Chicago West, the third child born to West and Kardashian, was born on January 15, 2018. After Kardashian’s previous high-risk pregnancies, the couple had Chicago through surrogate.
“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care,” Kardashian announced.
Chicago and Stormi’s simultaneous birthday celebration also caused some co-parenting conflict between West and Kardashian because the rapper said he was not invited to the celebration. Despite the backlash his remarks received on social media, West showed up to the celebration.
After Chicago’s party, West thanked Jenner and Scott for extending an invite. “I’m really happy that I could be there for my children … My life centers around my children,” he added.
Chicago has already begun to create her own sense of style. While she frequently matched with her mother and older sister North when she was a child, she has since displayed her individual flair by sporting a retro Britney Spears T-shirt on one occasion and a bright pink jumpsuit with cowboy boots on another. Chicago is still taking cues from her extremely fashionable mother, though; once, Kardashian even caught her attempting to “sneak off” with a purse from her wardrobe!
Psalm West, 3
Psalm West, the couple’s youngest child, was delivered through surrogacy on May 3, 2019, in Los Angeles. Like the names of the rest of their kids, Psalm’s name has particular meaning for West and Kardashian.
“The inspiration was the Book of Psalms in the Bible,” Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, explained to ET Online shortly after his birth. “I think it’s just a wonderful way to celebrate how they feel. And he’s such a blessing, so it’s perfect.”
Psalm was also referred to by Kardashian as “the sweetest baby ever.” on his 2nd birthday. “He’s my child that looks most Armenian to me like my grandpa and reminds me so much of my dad,” the reality star wrote.
Psalm and Robert Kardashian resemble each other so much that when Psalm was a little child, Kim Kardashian even speculated that he may be Robert Kardashian reincarnated.
Psalm, the youngest child of Kardashian and West, spends a great deal of time with his three siblings, whether they’re having fun in the sun or taking goofy pictures before bed.
The family hosted a grand Hulk-themed celebration in May 2022 to honor Psalm’s third birthday. The party had everything, including a make-your-own-slime station and a complex handmade cake with a Hulk hand slicing through the top.
