Anne Hathaway just delivered a red-carpet moment so striking, it felt like life imitating art—and possibly even outdoing it. While buzz builds around the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, Hathaway stepped into a scene-worthy look at Bulgari’s high jewellery gala in Milan, channeling the kind of high-fashion drama usually reserved for Miranda Priestly herself.

Wearing a sweeping Valentino couture gown reminiscent of the film’s extravagant fictional gala scenes, Hathaway elevated the look with an extraordinary statement piece: Bulgari’s Secret Garden necklace. Designed under the direction of Lucia Silvestri, the creation centres on a rare 26.65-carat padparadscha sapphire, surrounded by an intricate mix of diamonds, emeralds and coloured stones. It’s part of Bulgari’s new Eclettica collection—a celebration of artistry spanning high jewellery, watches and one-of-a-kind accessories.

The setting was equally opulent. Hosted at Villa Arconati—often dubbed the “Little Versailles of Milan”—the event blended fine jewellery with immersive art, from sculpture to live performance, reinforcing the idea of fashion as a living, breathing art form.

Hathaway wasn’t the only star lighting up the evening. Dua Lipa, Priyanka Chopra and Jake Gyllenhaal were among the glittering guest list, alongside Nick Jonas and Liu Yifei—turning the evening into a real-life spectacle of cinematic glamour.

In a moment where fashion, film and fantasy collided, Hathaway didn’t just reference the world of Miranda Priestly—she arguably surpassed it, proving that true red-carpet power dressing belongs as much to reality as it does to the big screen.
