Blink twice, and you may think Bonang Matheba won the 2024 Miss South Africa pageant. Hosting the finale for the fourth consecutive year, Bonang and her stylist, Dahmola were set to deliver a series of ethereal looks. She started off with a structured, off-the-shoulder Viki James dress. Featuring a plunging neckline that ended just below her sternum, the mermaid dress literally hugged her body and opened into a voluminous floor-grazing tail. Matheba styled it with her hair in a slick up-do that exposed her shoulders, plus an emerald statement necklace.
For the second look, SOMO provided the media personality with a disco-ready gold fringe dress with a matching ethereal crown. To complete her look, she added a pair of gold pumps and an ethereal glam look to go with it.
Bonang later changed into a regal Sheye Oladejo draped corseted dress in blush-pink satin, which came complete with a tulle train. Life-sized rosettes in a matching pink hue decorated the gown from the bustier to the dramatic train. And for the fourth? A form-fitting greometric silver strapless gown from Mazelle Bridal did the trick.
Finally, Bonang changed into a fully bloomed ethereal look from SOMO. The gown’s mesh fabric was encrusted with sequin and glass crystals, and covered with 3D butterfly details for a soft and feminine feel..
