This week in New York, Victoria Beckham had a city-fied Cinderella look. There was no tiara in sight, despite the fact that Beckham looked very retro-regal in a blue dress that skimmed the body and slashed across the chest with a dramatic scarf blowing at her side. Beckham did, however, put on a contemporary take on the princess’s glass slippers. The designer chose a pair of stiletto boots made of a tight, glittering mesh that was transparent enough to reveal some toe.
Long known for her footwear experimentations, Beckham occasionally dons a pair of knee-high, peep-toe boots (a perfect solution to showing off a cold-weather pedicure). She developed sparkling knee-high boots for the fall/winter of 2021 because he was inspired by glittering sneakers. But this pair adds some superstar appeal to the afternoon ensemble.
