At the Nashville Songwriter Awards, Taylor Swift was given a special honor: Songwriter-Artist of the Decade. Accepting the Swift added in her victory speech, “Writing songs is my life’s work and my hobby and my never-ending thrill,” Swift said during her acceptance speech. “I am moved beyond words that you, my peers, decided to honour me in this way for work I’d still be doing if I had never been recognised for it.”

Swift opted for a powerful outfit to sing her song “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” and claim her prize on stage. Swift continued the edgy disco mood she’s been channeling recently—a look she originally unveiled at this year’s VMAs, where she wore glittery costumes by Oscar de la Renta and Moschino to herald the release of her upcoming 10th studio album, Midnights. The newest party outfit this week is from Michael Kors Collection. Swift donned a sequined jersey dress from the brand’s autumn/winter 2022 runway; with its sensual cut-outs, asymmetrical silhouette, and glistening sequins, the outfit seemed ideal for a night out at Studio 54 (if it were the ’70s).

Swift’s fashion prior to the publication of Midnights stands in stark contrast to the folk-inspired look she embraced for her last two albums, Folklore and Evermore, when she donned thick cardigans and plaid shirts. Swift is obviously prepared to be seen and go out again if her previous attire was all about comfortable comfort and quiet nights in.
