After a well deserved Easter break the Princess of Wales resumed her royal duties — arriving at the the city of Birmingham “to celebrate the city’s diverse culture and heritage and meet future leaders in the creative industries,” according to a statement released by Kensington Palace.

When it comes to this type of official engagements, Princess Kate often sticks to a variety of tried-and-true wardrobe – an Alexander McQueen suit or Catherine Walker coat dress (which she recently wore for the Easter Mattins Service at St. George’s Chapel with Prince William). For this event, Kate sought to another signature look – the wrap dress. The burgundy wrap dress by high street brand Karen Millen featured exaggerated lapels, long-sleeves and a pleated midi-length skirt. She finished the look with matching suede pumps, gold statement earrings, and a delicate gold pendant necklace.

William, in contrast, cut a relaxed figure in a dark gray jacket over a light blue button-up that he sported with dark blue pants and mocha brown leather dress shoes.

This isn’t the first time the Princess has worn Karen Millen — she wore a canary yellow iteration last year when she visited the Royal Surrey County Hospital’s maternity unit. However, the Princess of Wales has been seen in a variety of wrap dresses by brands besides Karen Millen such as Issa, LK Bennett, and Diane von Furstenberg.
