Miley Cyrus is letting the world know that she doesn’t need anyone else to buy her flowers – she can do it herself. With her most recent release, the musician is throwing shade (and looking stunning while at it)
On Friday, Cyrus unveiled her brand-new song, “Flowers,” along with a music video that shows her dancing across the Hollywood Hills in a vintage amphorae-shaped hooded cut-out gown from Yves Saint Laurent’s autumn/winter 1991/92 collection, imagined in metallic lamé, celebrating her freedom.
Anthony Vaccarello, the French maison’s current creative director, has created a rock’n’roll-inspired wardrobe for the singing sensation. She performed on Jimmy Fallon in December 2021 while wearing a spring/summer 2022 slinky spandex catsuit, and also sang on Saturday Night Live that same year while donning a plunging floral autumn/winter 2018 minidress.
In other scenes of the film, Cyrus wore only a black bra and set of underpants while she worked out in an opulent garden and went swimming. She eventually changed into an enormous, untucked black suit.
