Red should be crowned the colour of the year!. From Zendaya’s iconic Vera Wang Bandeau, Megan Markle looked stunning while attending the Salute to Freedom gala at New York’s Intrepid Museum with her husband, Prince Harry.
With the palace dress code no longer a factor, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were free to embrace all-American glamour – Meghan dazzled in a custom Carolina Herrera design by Wes Gordon while Harry was a perfect gentleman in a streamlined tuxedo and bow tie.
Not the usual royal dress code, Meghan’s custom gown featured a daring leg revealing slit, a plunging neckline – her waist was accentuated by the fitted bodice. For accessories and makeup – Meghan stayed true to her Minimalist style, opting for less jewellery – wearing only her wedding ring, a few bracelets and drop diamond earrings – with her hair slicked back.
Giving a fresh take on royal style, Meghan and Harry walked hand in hand for the ceremony. At the event, the Duke of Sussex, who served in the British armed forces for 10 years, handed out medals at the event honoring members of the military.
