Kylie Jenner’s most recent red-carpet appearance epitomizes her current fashion sense.
The reality star went to the Baby2Baby Gala last night to support her older sister Kim Kardashian, who was given the Giving Tree Award by the organization. The founder of Kylie Cosmetics selected a custom Loewe gown for the event that puts an ultra-sexy take on the backless trend.
The black dress features an opaque panel that starts at the right hip and falls down to form a short train, a satin micro-mini skirt, and a sheer maxi-length overlay with a high halter neck that ties in a flouncy bow at the back. Straps that cross across the sleeves and tulip-shaped draping are decorative accents.
She completed the ensemble with a pair of black stiletto heels and a variety of diamond accessories, including floral-shaped earrings.
On her Instagram, the actress emphasized the dress’ sideless and backless construction, posting photos of herself posing backstage with the caption “now let’s hear it for the back of the dress!!!”Jenner has a history of boosting a popular trend that is already popular among celebrities. She modified the iconic Mugler bodysuit to seem lingerie-inspired when she attended the BoF 500 gala in September at Paris Fashion Week. The deconstructed wrap dress had spectacular hip-height trains that reached the floor and was made of lace swaths that wrapped around a semi-transparent bodysuit underneath. In order to keep the attention on the shoes, she added a pair of clear heels with silver soles and omitted all other jewelry save for a pair of sculptured silver earrings.
