From the rare Comme des Garçons ensemble she wore in the summer to the ’90s Thierry Mugler gown she wore to the CFDA Awards last week, Kylie Jenner has been delivering recently on the vintage front. For the opening night of the Thierry Mugler: Couturissime exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum on Tuesday night, it was only natural that the beauty mogul went into the Mugler archives once more.

Jenner chose a black gown with a feathered fishtail skirt and the designer’s signature winged neckline from the autumn/winter 1995 couture collection for the event. She completed the ensemble with a glittering headpiece and matching feathery gloves to add even more drama.

Before Mugler passed away earlier this year, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner’s sister, was and still is a huge fan of the fashion designer. Both a daring cut-out dress from Mugler’s spring/summer 1998 collection and the star’s unique wet-look Latex gown, glittering with crystals, were worn by Kim to the 2019 Met Gala.
