The Y2K trend is back and is bigger than ever. Increasing the stakes is Katie Holmes, whose contentious Y2K street-style is a tribute to her ever fluctuating style.
Recently, photographed in New York the Dawson Creek actress was seen wearing a two-tone embroidered jeans, which are identical to the jeweled pair that Taylor Swift was spotted wearing a few days. Holmes paired the statement denim with a white shirt, a grey jacket, and shiny silver heels. For accessories, she went for simple silver hoops and a nose rings.
It’s not the first time Holmes has embraced the polarizing Noughties style; she previously attended the iHeart Radio Awards wearing a sleeveless silk TOVE shirt layered over loose pants and finished the look with a pair of basic black runners last year.
Holmes has been hard at work on her third movie as a filmmaker, Rare Objects, an indie film based on Kathleen Tessaro’s 2016 novel of the identical name. During an appearance on The Today Show, the actress adopted fashionable large pants adorned with yellow paint splatters and gold sequin all over them. She matched the trousers with a gray ribbed sweater. The outfit was finished off with a black Isabel Marant purse with gold studding, yellow peep-toe shoes, and a gold belt.
Also attending two consecutive screenings for the film – Holmes wore a white St. John pre-fall 2023 button-down top with a unique skirt featuring a pleated mini, damask-patterned fabric, and white heels and a Prada Cleo bag after donning a beaded Interior dress, decorated with trailing ribbons, with a Tove blazer to the first screening.
