Despite the release of a shocking trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix documentary on December 1, the Princess of Wales’s unbelievably buoyant blow-dry signaled that all was still as normal in the royal camp. When Kate visited Greentown Labs, a climate technology start-up in Somerville, she was the epitome of professionalism.

Kate turned to Roland Mouret for a unique take on a traditional suit that was unmistakably her for a meeting with eco-conscious pioneers. The Princess looked elegant in slim-fit burgundy coords that were accessorized with a pussy-bow top, although the style was more traditional than contemporary. Kate’s vintage Chanel top-handle purse, which she paired with the blue bouclé jacket from the Karl Lagerfeld era that she wore on the first day of the Boston tour, played into this understated nostalgia.
