Jennifer Lopez’s most recent off-duty ensemble is ideal for a wet autumn afternoon.
Last week while out and about in Los Angeles, the celebrity was seen wearing a trendy take on a traditional business suit. The “Jenny From the Block” singer wore brown wide-leg pants from Staud’s spring summer 2023 collection underneath a sleek black trench coat.
Black platform heels and a Saint Laurent monogram purse in leather and canvas served as the finishing touches to her look. Her hair was tied in a straightforward top-knot bun, and her only apparent decorations were tiny silver hoops.
The multi-hyphenate just revealed her upcoming album This Is Me, and now she’s making her solo debut. On her 2002 album This Is Me, we now have a fresh perspective. Then, which she penned while in a relationship with her future husband Ben Affleck in the early 2000s. The two-decade reunion and subsequent marriage of the pair will be featured in the new project.
The “All I Have” singer spoke candidly on how Affleck encouraged her to enter the recording studio 20 years ago as well as more recently in a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music.
“That album, This Is Me… Then, really captured a moment in time where I fell in love with the love of my life. It’s all just right there on the record and I didn’t even realize what was happening or what I was doing. It was just everyday going from the set to the recording studio, doing the thing, being in love, him coming into the studio,” she reflected. “When I listen to the lyrics now, I didn’t even realize that I was writing some of our story that would happen, which was sick. … I didn’t even realize it was kind of prophetic in a way.”
Adding that, “When he came back into my life, again the same thing happened where I felt so inspired and so overtaken with emotion that it was just pouring out of me. When I feel good, I write music. And I wrote music and I got in the studio in I think May and by August when we got married, it was done.”
