Gigi recently dug out another favorite from the Hadid sisters’ arsenal of sleeper-hit Prada bags. The model recognized that her spring/summer 2018 comic-print Etiquette purse would win her twice as many cool points as, say, the brand’s more recent Cleo model during a period in which rare vintage accessories have significantly higher cachet than new-season items.
Hadid’s cartoon companion looked fun and had a powerful undertone as it was dressed in a baby shirt, high-waisted jeans, and Valentino sandals. Several years ago, after becoming fixated on comic book heroes, Miuccia Prada enlisted the aid of eight female illustrators to create superwomen as seen through the Prada prism. The outcomes were dramatically displayed on the retro-inspired leather items of the season. Bella owns a whole comic strip that features the face of a lady with black lips and a tongue that resembles a serpent, in contrast to Gigi’s spring/summer 2018 look.
