Another day, another breathtaking Valentino red-carpet look. And for Florescence Pugh who champions the idea of red carpet experimentation, she did justice to the Valentino’s silk cady gown she wore to the New York City premiere of her latest film, A Good Person.
The gown itself from the house’s Pre-Fall 2023 collection features a sequin collared bodice with cheeky open back, a black tie and a matching floor-sweeping maxi skirt. Pugh added a sultry touch to her sheer, gauzy gown with her side boob, which created the illusion of business in the front, party in the back.
For accessories, Pugh Stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Pugh’s stylist, sourced Tiffany & Co. jewelry , including 18-carat diamond hoops, platinum studs, and a slew of architectural gold rings complement her preppy look. Pugh also wore her septum ring, and Alex Babsky enhanced her glam with shimmery makeup and a coral pink lip.
Her blond bob was twisted into a twisted updo with a wavy bang that crawled her head toward the rear, where a single black ribbon was attached to her bun by Peter Lux. Dawn Sterling finished with a glossy pink manicure accented with a little diamond stud on each nail.
Pugh has been on a fashion streak for the promotional tour of her A Good person. On Monday, she chose a black minidress with white lace trim detailing from Alessandra Rich pairing it with a long black coat from Tove, sheer black tights, black suede knee-high heeled boots, and a matching black leather handbag from Valentino. And for a guest appearance on The Tonight Show, she wore a sleek black jumpsuit with glittering silver crystal embellishments and Valentino’s satin platform pumps and an array of jewelry from Maria Tash.
