Apart from being one of my favorite children’s shows, SpongeBob also serves as a major source of fashion inspiration – well, for Dua Lipa.
Donning a leather centric outfit straight from Bikini Bottom, Dua took to Instagram to show off her fun-filled look. The outfit itself comprised of a yellow moto jacket with white side panel detailing, a white T-shirt and a mini skirt from the the coveted GCDS X Spongebob Squarepants collaboration. Interesting fact: The GCDS X Spongebob Squarepants collaboration is a part of the popular spring/summer 2023 collection from the brand and has a graphic drawing of Spongebob on the back.
For accessories, the Levitating singer shiny opted forsilver knee-high boots and a matching metallic silver rectangular clutch.
Patrick Star’s visage was depicted as pasties from the GCDS spring/summer 2023 collection on a coral pink crochet slip dress that Dua Lipa recently wore last year (she was also the first to wear Calza’s SS23 whimsical fit.)
Giuliano Calza, the creative director, incorporated fun motifs and ideas from SpongeBob Squarepants‘ to create a line of eccentric design.
