Although a new year has begun, Dua Lipa’s wild style hasn’t changed. As an example? The pop diva brought in 2023 in an outfit that was as eye-catching as it was outrageous-slash-confusing-slash-cool.
The Future Nostalgia singer posted a slideshow of photos from new year’s night’s festivities as her first Instagram post of the new year this yesterday. The pop diva choose a sparkling ensemble from Ludovic de Saint Sernin‘s spring 2023 collection to ring in the new year at a private gathering with friends. The ensemble included an eye-catching application of the visible underwear trend.
With a bright white thong that protruded from a cutout on the back of the skirt, Lipa accessorized the iridescent, crystal-covered short dress, which had a high, side-baring neckline, a backless silhouette with crisscross straps, and an asymmetrical hem. She completed the ensemble with diamond tennis bracelet, star-shaped chandelier earrings, and knee-high, pointed-toe boots in a vivid magenta color.
“2023 ~ Happy New Year ~ wishing you peace, love, health and happiness for this year ahead x,” she captioned the post.
With her hair pulled back in a high ponytail, the diva donned similar iridescent eyeshadow, sparkling highlighter, rosy blush, and a dark nude lip.
In a content carousel she posted earlier last week, Dua described her “final few days of ’22” and included photos of the things she wore and did. And judging by the photographs she shared on her grid, Dua seemed to end the year on a high note, going out to dinner with friends, spending time with her dog, and, of course, dressed up in the most stylish of attire.
