As seen by her glittering custom Balenciaga onstage attire or the barely-there little dresses by designers like Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Dilara Findikoglu that are all over her Instagram page, Dua Lipa is not afraid to make a statement when it comes to fashion. But her most recent appearance took a more conventional approach to dressing.
This week at the first Albie Awards in New York City, the 27-year-old pop phenomenon stole the show by donning in a frock that was reminiscent of the late Audrey Hepburn’s distinctive style, particularly her well-known Breakfast at Tiffany’s ensemble. A black square-shaped clutch bag, black satin heels, Tiffany & Co. (of course) HardWear earrings, and a black square-shaped clutch bag completed Dua’s ensemble. The Versace maxi dress had gold buttons featuring the brand’s distinctive Medusa emblem. Her vintage hairstyle was also a tribute to Audrey; after all, who could forget Holly Golightly’s chignon, as seen through the glass of the jeweler’s Fifth Avenue flagship store?
