Beyoncé has definitely kept up her streak of Renaissance Couture-inspired outfits at award shows.
The pop icon accepted her trophies for Best International Artist and International Song of the Year for “Break My Soul” Friday at the BRIT Awards while making a virtual appearance. Even though she wasn’t there at the speech, Olivier Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain, helped her put together an unique ensemble with a ’70s influence.
In her televised acceptance speech for Best International Artist, she said “Thank you so much for this incredible recognition.” Adding “I’d like to say thank you to all of my friends out there in Britain for your continuous support over the years.”
She added, “The Renaissance begins. I’ll see y’all on tour. Thank you so much for this honor!”
The multi-hyphenate officially broke the record for the most Grammy awards last weekend when she brought home four statuettes, including Best Dance/Electronic Album. She posted a video on Instagram after the ceremony that she had recorded herself. Along with a picture of her standing in bed with her brand-new Grammys, all three of her dresses were on display.
