Following the terrible earthquakes in Turkey and northern Syria, Bella Hadid went on a philanthropic expedition to provide a hand. On her visit to the Turkevi Center (Turkish House) in New York City, the supermodel was captured on camera donating goods for the victims of the recent series of earthquakes that have struck Turkey’s southeast Kahramanmaras province.
Hadid spoke with volunteers at the center who have been managing relief work ever since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck on February 6 during her visit. On Instagram, she also posted pictures from her visit, revealing in the caption that she had “dropped off blankets, diapers, and sleeping bags.”
The fashion icon donned a slightly oversized suede tan jacket, a striped wrap shirt in brown and white, and wide faded trousers for the occasion, elevating the ’90s grunge trend. She completed the look with a timeless pair of Doc Marten boots, a white belt, and a Bench bag made of black leather.
A white scarf with black flowers that had been stitched on it was wrapped around the model’s low bun of hair. She wore gold-rimmed glasses throughout the visit, but afterwards switched to oval-shaped sunglasses with orange lenses and a nude-toned rim.
