The actress arrived at the 95th Academy Awards wearing a stunning royal purple Moschino gown. The vivid dress included diagonal draping across the torso and waist, a mermaid form, a flowing train, and a stunning bow-like embellishment at the bust. She added sparkling diamond stud earrings, a bracelet, and a serpent necklace from Bulgari to complete the stunning ensemble. She also carried a black circular bag with sequins.
A lot of critics are cautious to predict that Angela Bassett will win Best Actress at the Oscars because of the bias against superhero films at award ceremonies. The What’s Love Got to Do With It? star Angela Bassett was previously nominated for best actress, but Holly Hunter won the award. During the NAACP Image Awards, Bassett took home three honors, including Entertainer of the Year, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Lead Actress in a TV Drama for her work in 9-1-1.
At this year’s SAG Awards, Bassett was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, but the award went to Jamie Lee Curtis.
