The Princess of Wales visited the maternity section at the Royal Surrey County Hospital on a gloomy October day to meet the staff and learn about the all-encompassing care offered to expectant and new mothers there.
Kate wore a straightforward sunshine-yellow midi dress by Karen Millen that contrasted the cloudy skies and had a pleated skirt, a notched collar, and puffed sleeves. She wore navy heeled heels and a clutch bag that matched, keeping her accessories to a minimum as usual. Emily Mortimer Jewellery’s white gold and diamond drop earrings were also on her.
The Princess spent the day at a variety of hospital departments. When she arrived, she met with the Jasmine team of the unit, whose goal is to assist moms who face mental health issues during and after pregnancy.
The postnatal unit and special care baby unit at the hospital were also on her itinerary, and Kate meet with women and families who have benefited from the staff at the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
