Ronan’s dress flawlessly combines three different fabrics for a truly magical look as she hosted a screening of her new film The Outrun in Manhattan’s SoHo neighbourhood on Monday. The tartan dress included three layers of textures that gave off a deconstructed and fresh vibe. While Vivienne Westwood would have approved, the design was actually from the Hodakova Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection.

Featuring a black silk neckline suitable for a cocktail dress, it was cut off with an asymmetrical stitching, and the material switched to a blue-and-red tartan covering Ronan’s torso. An upside-down patch with the Union Jack and “Lake Line” text was attached at the bottom of the bodice. To match the dress and patch, Ronan wore a bright shade of rouge lipstick.

The intricate combination of three distinct materials, each in a different hue, seemed almost impossible to blend together seamlessly. Yet, Ronan effortlessly pulled off this daring ensemble.
