Although Rihanna failed to appear on the museum steps at this year’s Met Gala due to a case of the flu, she made up for it on the NYC sidewalk and taxi. Fully recovered, Rihanna stepped out on Mother’s Day in a look that embraced this season’s hottest color.
The fenty founder wore a monochromatic ensemble, featuring a longline Commes des Garçons T-shirt with white lettering, ruched and knotted detail and a black fabric hemline. She layered the look over a red dress with a leg slit, and paired it with sheer mesh scarlet opera gloves and black accessories like a Gucci horsebit bag and crystal sandals. She finished the look with bedazzled shades and a bright red lip .A$AP Rocky,on the otherhand posed alongside Rihanna in a cropped cardigan, suit trousers, and black shoes.
This comes after Riri wore another monochromatic ensemble in New York to celebrate her son’s RZA birthday. Consisting of a satin corset blouse with lacy sleeves, a ruffled tulle hemline, and a shaggy fur shawl from Tom Ford’s Fall 2004 Gucci collection. She paired it with baggy cargo jeans from the Attico, pointed-toe pumps by Amina Muaddi, and a champagne bead-covered evening bag from Tom Ford. Completing her look were oval sunglasses from Gianfranco Ferré.
