First state visit after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in September, President Cyril Ramaphosa was welcomed on November 22 by the Princess of Wales together with her husband, the Prince of Wales, King Charles III, and the Queen Consort.

The Princess of Wales donned an Emilia Wickstead coat dress for the formal greeting outside Buckingham Palace, accessorized with pearl earrings that belonged to Princess Diana, a feather brooch that has been a part of the royal family for decades, a Jane Taylor pillbox hat, pumps, and a Mulberry bag that matched the coat dress’ burgundy tone, as well as matching pumps and a bag from Mulberry – Diana received the jewelry as a gift from the Queen Mother upon her engagement to Charles.

The Princess is notorious for wearing the same costume several times, so perhaps this year she will draw clothing ideas from her own closet.

She has worn similar outfits before to Christmas services at the Sandringham Estate, most notably the red coat dress and pillbox hat she wore on Christmas Day in 2018.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to be spotted at Sandringham Estate on Christmas Day since King Charles III is rumored to carry on the Queen’s custom of spending the holiday there.
