Princess of Wales and Prince William made a fashionable grande entrée at Royal Ascot, riding in a carriage alongside Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Kate, who has recently favored monochrome outfits, looked stunning at the horse-racing event in a red head-to-toe Alexander McQueen design. She wore a large hat with floral detailing by Philip Treacy, Jennifer Chamandi satin pumps, and a matching clutch bag.
The most striking part of her outfit, however, was Sézane’s Esmee earrings, a delicate tracery with black bead detailing. Sézane’s earrings are an affordable alternative to the heirloom jewelry the Princess of Wales goes for for such official events.
This is by far Kate’s first time wearing Sézane, a Parisian label founded in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory that employs eco-friendly materials. Last year, she paired the brand’s Dina earrings with a khaki coat by Alexander McQueen, and in March 2022, she opted for the brand’s oversized Charlie earrings, featuring large blue beads. In conclusion, it’s safe to say Kate’s conscious approach to her wardrobe, including heirloom pieces and eco-minded brands, is evident in her jewelry collection.
