The event was none other than the highly-anticipated premiere of “Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour,” a captivating documentary that chronicles the incredible journey of her 2023 album across the globe.
Stepping onto the purple carpet, the duo showcased similar but different visions for their style. Rodrigo chose a slinky black vintage gown from Dior’s fall/winter 1998 collection, designed by John Galliano. The body-hugging dress featured a plunging neckline and intricate cross-stitch pattern with roses. She kept her look natural and glam, with bouncy curls and diamond earrings as her only accessory.
Roan wore a stunning red dress with intricate burgundy floral appliqués, two thigh-high slits in the skirt, and black leather boots. The botanical motif extended to matching translucent opera gloves, which were adorned with silver rings for a touch of glam. The edgy ensemble was completed with a pair of pointy black leather boots. She styled her orange curls down her shoulders and applied her usual colorful makeup, featuring dusty blue eyeshadow, hot pink blush, and burgundy lipstick.
Despite Roan’s encounter with a rude photographer before the event, she still managed to strike a pose. The movie showcases Rodrigo’s entire concert from her performances at LA’s Intuit Dome in August and is set to release on Netflix later this month.
