Puma has highlighted partnerships with a wide range of partners including Nigeria’s afrobeats star Davido. Their latest collection with the star goes back to the classics with a timeless fusion of rich heritage elements and sports essentials.
According to the brand, “This Puma x Davido collection is therefore a reflection of the Nigerian artist and the German brand: a combination of traditional styles, inspired by the past, with modern details.” Davido included a meaningful message that is deeply ingrained in his own psyche into every piece while also keeping stylish comfort in mind.
Davido joined Puma’s global brand ambassador program back in December 2021–even walking the runway at the NYFW show last year. With a growing population of Nigeria (as at 2021) alone and the “Fall” singer’s long-term engagement (being one of the widely recognized artist in Africa) reaffirmed the sportswear brand’s focus to the continent’s quickly expanding market.
