Nicole Kidman always exudes her own radiance in the spotlight. She made a stunning entrance at the 81st Venice International Film Festival today for the premiere of her film Babygirl, wearing a show-stopping two-tone gown from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2024 couture collection.

The stunning sculptural dress showcased a delicate sheer beige bodice that was embellished with ethereal cloudlike layers cascading down the strapless neckline. The bodice was further accentuated by a structured ribbed corset that hugged Kidman’s waist before flaring out dramatically to the sides, creating a striking hourglass silhouette.

The bodice and skirt transitioned from beige to inky black, a bold change achieved through a cascade of black sequins and clear beads. This contrasted sharply with the fabric’s colors, while small black sequins scattered throughout the beige bodice added a touch of glamour. Kidman’s black velvet heels were visible under her gown, complementing the skirt and sequins. Her bold look was enhanced by the jet-black eyeliner, along with white pearl drop earrings and multiple diamond rings that completed the striking outfit.

Babygirl, directed by Halina Reijn and starring Jennifer Kidman, is a sex-positive thriller about a CEO, Romy, who risks her career and family when she starts a relationship with a younger intern. The film explores desires, inner thoughts, secrets, marriage, truth, power, consent, and the language around sex. Kidman praised the unique storytelling style, as it allows her to share her deep and freeing experiences with the material.
