The Breakthrough Prize celebrates scientists who are making significant contributions to the world at its annual award ceremony held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Known as the Oscars of the science world, the event also features a showcase of fashion, and this time, Kim Kardashian’s red-carpet look was indeed a breakthrough.

For the event, Kim Kardashian made a stunning appearance in a striking all-white bandaged Alaïa bodycon gown. The dress boasted a form-fitting silhouette, a floor-length design, a halter neckline with crisscross detailing, and bold cutouts. She opted for white-and-clear platform heels and decided to forgo any jewelry. Kardashian completed her ensemble with sleek black hair styled in a slightly wavy, wet look, bangs, dark smoky eye makeup, fluttery eyelashes, precise black winged eyeliner, a glossy burnt-red lip, and long deep-brown nails.

Momanager, Kris Jenner, wore monochromatic black outfits to accompany her date. Jenner wore a sheer mock-neck top with a black bra and a triangle cutout, paired with a sweeping pencil skirt and a tailored blazer. She paired her voluminous pixie cut with texture and dark eye makeup, bronzer, and a nude lip. Jenner completed her look with diamond-adorned black square earrings.

Kardashian’s dazzling white ensemble stands out dramatically against the sleek, all-black Matrix-inspired outfit she sported at a recent L.A. Lakers game with her 10-year-old daughter, North West.
