Katie Holme’s daytime wardrobe usually involves lots of baggy jeans and cozy knits, playing with different sizes and proportions to achieve a relaxed, chic silhouette. However, when it boils down to nighttime events, her go-to choice often involves sleek monochrome styling.
This was the case at the American Ballet Theatre’s Like Water for Chocolate opening in NYC, with the star opting for an LBD. While the Dawson Creek actor has worn an LBD in the past, case in point: for her look to a Bulgari event last year, she opted for an edgy twist wearing a distressed knit maxi dress from Chloé’s 2023 autumn/winter collection that featured soft hole knit gaps on the torso.
She paired the dress with glittering black ballet flats from Miu Miu, a black rectangular Chloé clutch, and gold pendant necklaces. As usual, Holmes glam look included her signature hairstyle, with her makeup kept to a minimum.
An LBD is a fantastic alternative for any dress code, as Katie can attest. Not only is it versatile, but it is also adaptable.
