It was a family affair for Kate Winslet and Mia Threapleton at the BAFTA TV Awards who walked the red carpet in coordinating looks. Kate looked chic in a one-shouldered assymetric black dress -Mia, in a two-tone halterneck jumpsuit and both opted for similar hairstyle.
The rare appearance comes as the duo both star in Channel 4’s emotional drama I Am Ruth as mother and daughter. Kate, however, went on to win her first BAFTA TV award for leading actress. In a touching statement during the awards show, the Titanic actress went on to deliver a heartwarming message to her 22-year-old in her speech – “If I could cut this in half, I would give the other half to my daughter, Mia Threapleton. We did this together, kiddo”.
Winslet has three children: Mia, Joe, and Bear, with ex-husbands Jim Threapleton, Sam Mendes, and Edward Abel Smith.
