Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford are going beyond the norm by borrowing from each other’s closets. At the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Shell, Gerber honored Crawford (her mother, in case you forgot) with her red carpet outfit.
The model and aspiring actor looked like her supermodel mother in a white Hervé Leger body-con maxi dress with a sweetheart neckline and underwire cups, which was a replica of Crawford’s 1993 Oscars gown and specially made for the event. Molly Dickson, Gerber’s stylist.
Gerber wore a white pointy-toe pump that mirrored her mother style, and incorporated vintage diamond jewellery and an Omega watch from Crawford’s personal collection for TIFF, further showcasing her connection to Crawford.
“My mom has always had very classic style. And I’ve always snuck into her closet and stolen her clothes,” she told Elle UK in 2023. Adding, “She has a ‘less is more’ attitude to hair and makeup, which I inherited from her; I would say that neither of us is maximalist at all.”
