The last time Gisele Bündchen walked the cascading MET Gala steps was in 2019 but this year, she proved super prowess never left following her divorce from Tom Brady. Wearing vintage Chanel, the ethereal dress was an iteration of what she had worn for past photoshoot.
The bridal look was from Karl Lagerfeld’s spring/summer 2007 Chanel couture show, made of white silk tulle and appliqued with vertical stripes of sequins. Bündchen donned the outfit for an editorial in Harpers magazine the same year Freja Beha Erichsen had worn it on the runway. However, the luxuriantly long feathered cape that she added her main accessory for this years iteration was the focal point of the whole look.
In 2019, Bündchen wore a metallic dusty pink pleated gown by Maria Grazia Chiuri, featuring a plunging neckline, belted waist, cape sleeves, and a dramatic skirt.
