Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96, the fashion industry has been paying respect to her. Designers from all throughout the industry have long found inspiration in Her Majesty, with names like Erdem and Richard Quinn designing collections that make reference to the monarch.

During London Fashion Week in February 2018, the Queen actually surprised attendees by sitting front row at Quinn’s show before presenting the designer with the first-ever Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, which honors exceptional talent and originality as well as steadfast community values and sustainable practices.

Below, see all the fashion industry’s tributes to the Queen,

Naomi Campbell

“Her Majesty The Queen: you gave us a life-long service, unparalleled in every way. Condolences to the entire royal family. A wife, a mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother. A Queen. Rest in peace, Your Majesty.”

Victoria Beckham

“I’m deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved monarch, Her Majesty The Queen. She will be remembered for her steadfast loyalty and service and my thoughts are with the royal family at this incredibly sad time.”

Stella McCartney

“It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. On behalf of the Stella McCartney team, I would like to express my sincerest condolences to the royal family.”

Kate Moss

“What an honour to have met you, our wonderful Queen Elizabeth, may you Rest In Peace.”

Paul Smith

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, who has served the UK with immense dignity, respect and selflessness over the course of her historic 70-year reign. I was honoured to be appointed a Member of the Order of the Companions of Honour last year and was privileged to have the opportunity to meet Her Majesty throughout my life; to receive my CBE from her in 1994 was an immense privilege. I will remain forever grateful for her championing of the British arts and industry. My thoughts, those of my wife and those of the entire Paul Smith team are with the royal family.”

Erdem

“We are so saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. We will never forget her extraordinary legacy and lifetime of strength and leadership. Our thoughts are with the royal family.”

Michael Kors

“The ultimate icon in every way. Strength, power, grace and style, Her Majesty’s reign was unprecedented, and she will live on in our hearts and minds forever.”

Mary Katrantzou

“A profoundly sad moment for the world.. What an incredible legacy. An exemplary woman. An inspiration to us all for her sense of duty and her dedication to her nation. I am grateful to have had the honour to meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and fortunate enough to have lived in her era. I join everyone in mourning and in admiration of her 70-year reign. You touched the hearts of so many and we can all feel a palpable void today. You will forever be the face of dignity, loyalty and grace. Rest in peace, Your Majesty, thank you for your service.”

Anna Wintour

“For 70 years, Her Majesty was a beacon of continuity and a perfect example of someone who lived by a clearly defined set of values. We hear so much about the end of an era, but Her Majesty’s passing, after so many decades of dedicated service, is undoubtedly that. I might have left England for America years and years ago, but the admiration and respect I felt for her has never diminished.

“I’m not alone in that regard: the Queen touched everyone, wherever they were in the world, maybe because despite her sense of absolute adherence and devotion to the role, who she was as a woman always shone through; her smile and her keen interest in others never failed her.”

Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council

“It is a sad, sad day. Devastated to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II whose reign will be marked in history as one of empathy, strength and grace. Our thoughts are with the royal family as we remember the Queen’s life and her extraordinary legacy. It was a great honour in 2018 to host Her Majesty at London Fashion Week to launch The QEII Award for British Design.”
