Emma Stone’s BAFTAs Dress Takes Cue From Poor Things Bella Baxter

Emma Stone reimagined her character Bella Baxter at the 77th British Academy Film Awards. A modern twist on Victorian era dressing, Stone wore a custom orange Louis Vuitton gown. The gown featured a one-shoulder design, a long sheer lace sleeve, a jacquard-patterned corset bodice, an A-line skirt, and a wide quilted hem. Stone paired the gown with satin peach heels, a gilded diamond choker necklace, ruby statement ring, shiny diamond ring, and diamond stud earrings.

In Poor Things, Bella Baxter’s (played by Stone) character wardrobe brims with a wide range of distinctive futuristic Victoriana looks, including leg-of-mutton sleeves, flounces, and pastel shades. Although the red-carpet dress took a more subtle approach when compared to Emma’s on-screen character, the silloutter was still very Baxter.

Emma Stone went on to win the Leading Actress award for her role in Poor Things.
