Ever since Kate Moss ignited the “sheer slip dress” trend in 1993 at an Elite Models party, the silhouette has gained a resurgence in the “naked dress,” with different iterations seen on and off the red carpet. Now, given Dua’s super ability to pull off any look on the red carpet, it should come as no surprise that the star opted for a crystal fishnet ‘naked dress’ that solely belongs in the risque department for the Los Angeles premiere of the Barbie film.
Right on theme with her Mermaid Barbie in the film, Dua wore a custom-made silver chain-mail knit dress from Bottega Veneta, adorned with crystals, silver underwear, and Rocket Bottega mules. She also wore Tiffany & Co. jewelry in white gold and diamonds.
Before the LA premiere, Lipa teased her cameo by embracing the Barbie-core trend in an all-pink outfit, including a crushed velvet minidress with ruched detailing and a silver circle adornment and thigh-high woven leather boots from Bottega Veneta.
