The United Kingdom’s queen consort recently had a meeting with pop royalty.
The 2022 Booker Prize for Fiction celebration was held in London earlier this week, when Queen Camilla met Dua Lipa.
Dua gave a keynote speech “on how a love of reading has shaped her imagination, her identity, and her career as a global pop superstar,” according to the Booker Prize website, while Camilla presented this year’s prize, marking one of her first solo public appearances since she was crowned the queen consort.
The two women appeared to be having a lively chat in pictures. With diamond drop earrings and gold bracelets as accessories, Camilla looked sophisticated in a long-sleeved black lace dress.
The “Don’t Start Now” singer opted for a black velvet, off-the-shoulder dress from Burberry’s spring 2023 collection and accessorized it with sheer black opera gloves with a diamond design for a witchy twist on evening wear. Lipa accessorized with a pair of gold teardrop earrings by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co.
