Dua Lipa’s concerts have always involved lots and lots of leather and fishnet stockings. However, last night at The Royal Albert Hall in London, she opted for a more refined style and presentation during a significant performance.

Lipa performed with a full choir and orchestra, wearing a red corset gown reminiscent of Old Hollywood style. The strapless gown had a sweetheart neckline, structured boning, and a thigh-high leg slit. She paired it with burgundy opera gloves and a sheer scarf, adding glamour to her look.

Part vintage, part custtom made Lipa’s outfit was inspired by past styles, giving it a retro vibe. Lipa’s stylist, Jahleel Weaver, secured a collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier to recreate a spring 2001 couture dress in a new all-red colorway. The only thing missing was Lipa’s signature burgundy hair, which she swapped for a darker look. “back to my roots,” she captioned one of her many photos from the event.

Dua later switched into a custom black Chanel gown that matched the intricacy of her first outfit. The dress featured straps adorned with black-and-white beads, a black rosette on the halter-neck, and a princess skirt made of layers of tulle. She accessorized with a Chanel chain belt, sheer black gloves, and statement earrings for added drama. On stage, she added a black feathered scarf and performed “Cold Heart” with Elton John.
