Beyoncé just debuted her new whisky line, SirDavis, but she’s not your average C.E.O. She rocked a Texas-inspired, daring outfit at the California Crown event.
A soiree that included horse racing competitions, live musical performances, and a Chrome Hearts trophy Bey showed up in a black and white tartan skirt suit from Retrofête’s Fall/Winter 2024 runway collection, layered with a boxy long coat and a double-breasted blazer. She wore sheer black tights and black stiletto pumps. For extra glamour, she wore a massive black wide-brimmed hat, a mix of her signature cowboy hat and a tilted fascinator.
This comes after Beyoncé hosted an extravagant party for SirDavis during Paris Fashion Week, in a gold foil Gucci dress and tall disco heels.
Beyoncé’s heritage alcohol brand, Sir Davis, was launched in August in partnership with Moët Hennessy. The brand pays tribute to her great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a farmer and moonshiner during Prohibition. Hogue used to hide liquor bottles in cedar trees for friends and family to enjoy. “When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated,” in a statement at the time. “SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy.”
