Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, who will play Elphaba and Glinda in the upcoming Jon M. Chu film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, have arrived in Paris ahead of the opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympics, paying homage to their onscreen characters.
The duo cordinated in ’50s-esque evening gowns, with Erivo in a strapless emerald-green gown with a sweetheart neckline and flared skirt. She paired it with a wide-brim hat, classic satin pumps, and glittery accessories. Meanwhile, Grandde wore a full Thom Browne ensemble, including a powdery pink drop-waist dress with a tied bow at the waist. She paired it with mid-length white gloves and pink and white pumps. The outfits were complemented by glittery accessories and a dramatic wide-brim hat.
Before the promotional tours kick off, Cynthia and Arian are adding a wickedly fun twist to fashion. Check out the custom Louis Vuitton jerseys with the number 27, celebrating the February release date. Grande’s pink top has a bedazzled “Glinda” in purple, while Erivo’s lime-green jersey features “Elphaba” in the same shade. They completed the look with black leather boots, a beige jacket, oversized sunglasses, a black baseball cap, and a brown Louis Vuitton bag.
