Despite the heat, Jolie is proving that trench coats can be worn in the summer with her short-sleeve version. She arrived in Italy for the Venice Film Festival wearing a unique double-breasted trench coat with a cinched waist and edgy short sleeves.
True to form, Jolie showed up in Venice looking more casual than usual. She wore a cropped wide-legged blue pair of pants, a black oversized sunglasses with a faint cat eye, and a white t-shirt. Jolie opted to wear black leather knee-high boots from Mulberry with crisscrossing leather straps instead of her customary stilettos, even though she typically loves a pair of nude Christian Louboutin heels.
The Venice Film Festival, which runs from August 28 to September 7, will feature a screening of Jolie’s new film, Maria, a biographical drama about opera singer Maria Callas. The film uses her own singing voice in parts and recordings of Callas’s voice in others. Other stars attending include Jenna Ortega and Sigourney Weaver, while Brad Pitt and George Clooney will make appearances to celebrate their upcoming film projects.
