Puffer season is upon us – well that’s if you reside in a metropolis like New York. Just ask Anne Hathaway, who knows that wearing a thick coat is essential for surviving Manhattan’s winter weather. A bold (and stylish) version that costs more than $5,325 was seen on the celebrity this week as she was out and about in New York City.
Hathaway accessorized the coat simply with a pair of slim black slacks, a pair of black leather lace-up combat boots, and a vintage Chanel handbag. In keeping with the colorful, edgy vibe of the puffer, she donned a black pageboy cap that was an exact replica of the one Andy Sachs wore in The Devil Wears Prada.
Although a classic black puffer is always a good choice, Hathaway argued that a colorful, patterned design makes a stronger fashion statement. Her flowery coat with varied prints is from the 2 Moncler 1952 line. The graphic designs of the Leviathan Short Down Jacket were influenced by antique fabrics discovered in Como, Italy.
