We Can’t Choose Between Amal Clooney’s Velvet or Sequin Look

Amal Clooney is a jack of all trade. Not only is she one of the world’s most famous human rights lawyers, Amal also knows how to bring the heat on and off the red carpet.

For the London premiere of “The Boys in the Boat” Amal walked the red carpet at Curzon Mayfair cinema in coordinating all-black ensembles, wearing a strapless velvet cropped top with raised sides and a matching long velvet pencil skirt, paired with silky pointed-toe pumps, a black croc-embossed oval clutch bag, and gold chain-link earrings. Accompanying her husband, George wore a classic black suit, crisp white dress shirt, and shiny black dress shoes, wrapping his arm around his wife’s waist as they posed on the carpet.

A day after Clooney stepped into another show-stopping piece for the 2023 Fashion Awards, Known for her collaborations with the British Fashion Council, she was chosen to present the Special Recognition Award to Charlotte Tilbury for her contributions to fashion, including 180 magazine covers and over 600 editorial and advertising campaigns, wearing a glitterball Versace gown with cascading sequins. Amal paired the ombre-esque dress with pointed-toe pumps, an oval clutch, and Cartier diamond earrings.

With a plethora of amazing dresses, it’s no wonder the lawyer has worn a different iteration of the sequin look. In September, Clooney a stunning $21,200 minidress from Prada’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection for dazzling night out in New York City. The dress features triangle-shaped sequins in black and reflective silver, arranged into an intricate chainmail design. Clooney layered the dress over a white tank top with a Prada triangle at the center, and topped it off with a sleek black blazer. To accessorize, Clooney paired a metallic gold clutch with clear PVC pumps with a metallic silver toe and heel, and added tiny diamond stud earrings.
