Singer Tems made history this year by being the first first Nigerian to be nominated for an Oscar for her collaboration with Rihanna and filmmaker Ryan Coogler on the Wakanda Forever song “Lift Me Up.”
Styled by Dusin Wright, Tems chose a custom white sculptural gown from the AW22 Leleka Couture line of the Ukrainian label Lever Couture for the Oscars. The star wore minimal jewelry, letting the dress be the main attraction. For glam, Tems wore the futuristic-looking dreamy white gown with chocolate lips and glittering silver eyeliner to complete the look.
Born Temilade Openiyi, Tems won her first Grammy for the song Wait for U” by Future, Drake, and herself. For the awards, Tems arrived in a gold corseted dress from Vivienne Westwood. The gown had a built-in corseted bodice that closely hugs the body and a floor-length flowing skirt. Tems added gold Tom Ford pump shoes to her ensemble and enhanced her neckline with layered pearl necklace.
