Actor Taraji P. Henson hosted the BET Awards for the third time, showcasing black culture and artistic achievements. No doubt, Henson enjoyed hosting the event, describing it as culture’s biggest night. To kick off the night, Taraji Henson performed at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, following Megan Thee Stallion’s energetic opening performance—wearing a red hoodie, jeans, and cap—to parody Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” (which Lamar released amid his feud with Drake).
Skilled at hosting and pulling off outfit changes, she also highlighted black designers. Working with stylists Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, they curated a total of 13 different looks.
