Thanks to the metallic bustiers and breastplates that are already making their way onto red carpets, the enduringly popular metallic style seems to have received a significant update in 2022!
This empowering trend seems to be a continuation of the gold plating craze, which was sparked by the newest Maison Schiaparelli line. Kendall Jenner made us fall in love with the latter when she stepped out in New York City in September wearing the house’s gold breast bustier and gold-plated heels.
The latest to jump on this train is no other than Stephanie Victoria Allen, better known by her stage name Stefflon Don, a British rapper and singer. For an outing in Dubai, Don wore selfhood’s 24k gold 6 – back bustier.
Paired with black pants, she added gold bangles, hoops earrings and matching glasses as accessories.
The outfit kind of reminds me of Kim’s christmas breastplate outfit last year. Her’s was made by design house Schiaparelli, and may have been molded by the creative director Daniel Roseberry himself.
