Michele’s fitted collaboration with Balenciaga previous collection, which explored Gucci’s equestrian background, was a sporty departure. From berets to corsets to peppy suiting, the sportswear behemoth put its renowned three stripes and trefoil insignia to everything. A reimagined, Adidas-stamped version of Gucci’s Diana purse – the brand’s ode to Diana, Princess of Wales – debuted on the runway, while a fanciful prairie dress and a logoed bridal ensemble disrupted expectations for next season’s sports luxury.
